Flourless Chocolate Microwave Cake

26 Jan

You know those moments where you’re totally going about your day, minding your own business, and then all of a sudden you really want chocolate cake? Yeah. What’s up with that?

Then, you decided to rummage through your cupboard only to figure out you used the last of your flour back when you made a Christmas gift, and forgot to shop for more. Well, shoot.

But who needs flour? And hell, while we’re being experimental, who needs an oven?

In 5 minutes, you can have your cake, and eat it. From your microwave. I know; its pretty awesome.

Flour-less Chocolate Microwave Cake #1

– 1 ripe banana
– 1 1/2 tbsp peanut butter
– 1 egg
– 2 tbsp cocoa powder
– sweetener (optional)

ALSO. I tried this another way, so feel free to do the following as well! Both are delicious.

Flour-less Chocolate Microwave Cake #2

– 1 ripe banana
– 1 1/2 tbsp chocolate peanut butter
– 1 egg
– 2 tbsp vanilla protein powder

Oh yeah. CAKE!

Add all ingredients to a microwave safe bowl and mix well. Once mixed, place in microwave and cook for 5 minutes. Make sure that the bowl is only about half full before you place it in the microwave; the cake rises significantly when cooked.

Allow to cool for a few minutes. Add toppings if desired. Enjoy that cake, and then get back to your regularly scheduled program.
