Banana Stuffed French Toast

I love French Toast.

Years ago, a group of friends and I had a ritual of going to IHOP every time that we were in LA together. Which was quite often. We’d all get the same thing: stuffed french toast. IHOP is all sorts of amazing, and these were the cream of the crop.

But, alas. This was before I was into fitness and health cautious, and realizing just exactly WHAT I was putting into my body.

Stuffed French Toast. 1,450 calories. For ONE meal? Um, no thank you.

Make these instead.

You’ll save yourself about a thousand calories. And your pants will be not so stuffed.

Banana Stuffed French Toast


3 slices Flax Seed Bread
1 egg
1/4 cup Almond Breeze
1 tsp cinnamon
1 small banana
“Cheescake Sauce”

Crack egg and mix in a bowl with almond breeze and cinnamon until completely mixed. Coat each piece of bread with mixture until all sides are covered.

Cook each piece of bread for about 2 minutes each side, or until browned.

Layer bread with cheesecake sauce and bananas. Top with syrup and sliced almonds.

The only stuffing you’ll be doing is stuffing these into your face.
