Banana Bread Hummus

2 Oct

Yeah, yeah, yeah…another banana recipe. You’re gonna have to deal with it. You should know by now that I love me some bananas.

I also have some mad love for hummus. I can go through a container in a few days. It’s probably a bad habit. Baby carrots and hummus – that’s one of my go to snacks. Mmmm, mmm.

So, when I thought about combining the two together, I wondered if it’d work. A dessert hummus? Oh, hello. And by sharing the recipe, it means it worked.

Banana Bread Hummus

Ingredients

1 large ripe banana
1 cup canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 dates, pitted
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped almonds

Add all ingredients in a food processor, like so.

Blend ingredients on low until smooth. Take a shadowed photo.

Once at a smooth texture, transfer to a container and garnish with additional toppings, if desired.

Then EAT.
